Các giới chức Trung Quốc nói rằng họ vẫn đang xem xét đơn xin chiếu khán của một ký giả của tờ New York Times, người mà báo chí loan tin là bị buộc phải rời khỏi Trung Quốc do những trì hoãn trong việc cấp chiếu khán.

Trung Quốc đã buộc một ký giả của tờ New York Times ra khỏi nước họ sau khi không chịu gia hạn visa cho nhà báo này. Điều này làm bùng ra những tố cáo mới là Bắc Kinh đang trả đũa các cơ quan truyền thông nước ngoài có những bài tường thuật phê phán Đảng Cộng Sản.
